SRX922M – Dual 12-inch Powered Point-Source Speaker

The SRX922 is a compact, acoustically three-way, dual 12-inch powered point-source loudspeaker engineered for applications requiring high output and precise directivity control from a trapezoidal full-range enclosure. It is an ideal choice for high-output mains systems, side-fills, or as a high- performance point-source element within larger SRX900 deployments.

Sound Quality Comes First

SRX900 woofers use JBL’s proprietary Differential Drive dual-voice-coil, dual-gap design for better heat dissipation, reduced power compression, and a wider dynamic range compared to conventional single-coil designs. Line arrays use the 2432H-3 3-inch dome compression driver to ensure a smooth transition between HF and LF sections. Point-source models use the 2408H-1 1.5-inch compression driver for smooth HF extension. Both drivers use neodymium motor structures to maximize efficiency and minimize weight.

The SRX900 Series supports a wide range of use cases with a full lineup of loudspeaker formats, including line arrays, point-source models, and flyable or ground-stacked subwoofers. All models share consistent voicing, amplification, and DSP, and use common rigging and accessory options. Levelmax Limiters Protect your Investment

SRX900 incorporates JBL’s advanced LevelMax limiter suite, co-developed with Crown engineers for Crown’s I-Tech HD touring amplifiers. These limiters employ sophisticated excursion-control algorithms to protect transducers from mechanical overdrive, while RMS limiting and long-term thermal management keep voice-coil temperatures in check. The result is consistent, reliable performance even under the most demanding operating conditions.

Seamless Software Control

JBL Venue Synthesis 3D acoustic simulation software enables accurate prediction of SRX900 acoustical and mechanical performance through a streamlined workflow. The JBL Performance application provides multi-platform system control and monitoring, offering an intuitive interface for configuration, preset management, device grouping, and real-time supervision. ArrayLink is the mobile companion to Venue Synthesis, delivering array angles and mechanical data to mobile devices for fast, accurate deployment.

Fast, Safe and Easy Rigging

SRX900 Series systems are designed for both portable and installed applications and can be deployed in a variety of configurations, from pole-mounted to ground-stacked to flown arrays of up to 16 cabinets. A three-point rigging system, adapted from VTX technologies, makes suspending systems safe and easy, regardless of system size or user experience level. Set splay angles on the ground; cabinets lock into place as the system is lifted. The rear rigging spine serves as an additional heatsink for added cooling. Available accessories include array frames, base plates, pole-mount and truss-clamp adapters, cases, carts and covers.
