MadisonAV has officially expanded into the music instrument (MI) and retail audio sector, marking a significant evolution in our national distribution footprint

As the exclusive Australian distributor of the full HARMAN Professional retail portfolio - including JBL, AKG and Soundcraft - we’re building a dedicated retail strategy designed to support dealers, strengthen partnerships and drive growth across the MI channel.

This move represents more than expansion. It reflects our long-term commitment to delivering world-class audio solutions, backed by local expertise, specialist support and meaningful industry engagement.

What This Means for the Market

Our entry into the MI retail space is backed by real investment - in people, inventory, infrastructure and relationships.

We’ve established a dedicated retail team focused specifically on the needs of MI dealers and specialist retailers. We’ve expanded our stock holdings to ensure availability and responsiveness. And we’re creating new ways for partners to experience, learn and grow with the brands we represent.

With the consolidation of HARMAN Professional distribution under MadisonAV in Australia, our goal is simple: make it easier than ever for retailers to access industry-leading solutions, supported by a national team that understands both professional AV and retail audio.

We’ve already begun engaging directly with the retail community through partner events, dealer conversations and product showcases - bringing together retailers, brand representatives and industry professionals to share insight and opportunity.

At the same time, we’re investing in a purpose-built Experience Centre in Sydney. This dedicated space will allow partners to explore immersive audio, line arrays and advanced technologies in a hands-on environment - reinforcing our commitment to education, collaboration and real-world demonstration.
