PTZOptics Rise 4K

Every production brief seems to ask for the same thing now: more angles, more events, more content, and usually the same size team to deliver it. Putting an operator behind every camera isn't always an option, and that's where a capable PTZ earns its place

Rise 4K is PTZOptics' new flagship broadcast PTZ camera. It pairs cinematic 4K imaging with the connectivity and synchronisation a professional multicamera workflow expects, so you can add a high-quality angle to broadcast studios, live events, sports and high-end professional productions.

"Our goal is to put the imaging quality, precision and advanced capabilities once limited to major broadcast networks and high-budget television studios within reach of more broadcasters, production teams and professional creators." – Matthew Davis, Chief Technology Officer, PTZOptics

Cinematic imaging

A Sensor Built for the Close-Up and the Wide Shot

At the heart of Rise is a 1-inch, 50MP CMOS sensor capturing 4K Ultra HD at up to 60 fps. The 20X optical zoom and roughly 71-degree horizontal field of view take you from a wide establishing shot to a tight close-up from the same mounting position, which means fewer cameras to rig for the same coverage.

Phase-detect autofocus keeps your subject sharp as they move, while optical image stabilisation and smooth brushless motors deliver steady images and natural, precise camera moves on air. A built-in three-stage ND filter gives your operator real exposure control when the lighting changes, whether that's a stage wash, stadium floodlights or afternoon sun through a lecture hall window.

Built for Broadcast Workflows

Connectivity that drops sraight into your gallery

Rise is designed to sit alongside your broadcast cameras, not apart from them. Timecode and genlock keep every camera precisely synchronised, and FreeD camera tracking support lets Rise feed virtual production and augmented reality systems.

You get the outputs a professional install calls for: 12G-SDI for 4K60, plus 3G-SDI, HDMI and USB 3.0. On the network side there's NDI® HX, RTMP, RTSP and SRT, along with 12G-compatible SFP+ fibre for long runs between camera and control room.

Audio and recording are covered too. Professional XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, onboard TF card recording and front and rear tally lights complete the package, so talent and crew always know which camera is live.

Intelligent control with Horizon

One Operator, More Camera Positions.

Rise ships with Horizon Web as its standard camera interface. It runs in a browser on any device on the same network and brings camera movement, image and colour adjustment, intelligent presets, tracking, auto-framing and automation into a single workspace.

For camera matching, Horizon includes waveform, vectorscope and RGB parade, so your operator can line up Rise with the rest of the camera fleet with confidence. Built-in AI auto-tracking holds framing on presenters and players without constant input, which frees one operator to supervise several camera positions and keep their attention on the wider production.

Rise also works with PTZOptics' Horizon Hub desktop applications for camera control, configuration and workflow management across larger deployments.
